I got invited to the media preview of Thrillz Atlanta before it opened to the public. I brought my kids and two of their friends, a group ranging in age from around 8 to 14. We spent a full afternoon there. And on the way out, the owners asked the kids what their favorite part was. Every single one of them said something different. That tells you pretty much everything you need to know about this place.
Thrillz Atlanta is a 56,000-square-foot indoor amusement park opening June 10, 2026, at 4280 Northeast Expressway in Doraville, just off Spaghetti Junction. It features 20-plus attractions including a 35-foot Mega Slide Tower, a Ninja Warrior and Whiplash obstacle course, wall-to-wall trampolines, full-size indoor carnival rides, two VR experiences, laser tag, duckpin bowling, and a 50-game arcade. From Dunwoody, Chamblee, Peachtree Corners, and Norcross, you are about 10 to 15 minutes away.
What Is Thrillz Atlanta?
Thrillz Atlanta is a first-of-its-kind indoor adventure park opening in Doraville in June 2026. It is the third location for the Thrillz brand, which started in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The Atlanta location is the biggest and most built-out version yet, according to Caroline “CC” Cannon, the company's vice president of strategic growth. Her parents founded the brand in 2018 after feeling like existing indoor entertainment options were not cutting it.
The best way I can describe it: imagine an indoor amusement park crossed with the biggest bounce house place you have ever been to. One side of the building feels like a trampoline and obstacle park. The other side has full-size carnival rides and VR experiences. Both are under one 56,000-square-foot roof with 35 to 40-foot ceilings, and there are more than 20 attractions total.
It sits right off Spaghetti Junction at 4280 Northeast Expressway in Doraville. From anywhere on the Top End of the Atlanta Perimeter, you are 10 to 15 minutes away.
A Zone-by-Zone Look at What's Inside
Here is what we actually experienced during the media preview, broken down by zone.
Trampolines and Sports Courts. Wall-to-wall trampolines and two padded basketball courts where you can play full court games. We spent a lot of time here. The kids were dunking, playing games, and generally not wanting to move on. According to Thrillz, the smart wristband system will display live leaderboards throughout this section tracking jump counts and activity, though that feature was not yet active during our preview visit since the park had not officially opened. More on the wristbands below.
Ninja Warrior and Whiplash Obstacle Course. This section has rolling barrels, a zipline, a sweeper challenge, and a 40-foot interactive climbing wall with rotating gears, shifting poles, and platforms that move in and out as you climb. When my son was up on the wall, all those elements moving and rotating around him made it look like a 2D Mario Brothers Nintendo game come to life. There are no harnesses and no nets. You fall, you land on a giant airbag. End of the zipline, airbag. The airbag landings turned out to be one of the most popular parts of this entire section. The climbing wall is the only one of its kind in the United States.
Mega Slide Tower. This tower is 35 feet tall and includes four different slide experiences: the Space Shot Slides, the Cyclone Slide, the Phoenix Slide, and a four-lane Quad Showdown Racing Slide for head-to-head competition. Airbag landing zones at the bottom of every slide. It is one of only two installations like it in all of North America, with comparable towers found only in Switzerland and Dubai. Even the older eighth-graders in our group were going back for multiple runs.
Carnival Rides. The carnival rides are situated right in the middle of the park and serve as the centerpiece of the whole place. There are three full-size indoor carnival rides. The Rush 360 was the biggest hit. It is a pendulum ride that flips completely upside down while spinning simultaneously, like a pirate ship ride from a county fair but bigger and indoors. Riders need to be at least 50 inches tall. There is also a Spinning Coaster with individually rotating cars. The fact that there is a full indoor roller coaster here at all is kind of wild. And then a VR Coaster that we will get to in the next section.
VR Experiences. There are two separate virtual reality experiences at Thrillz, and they are both worth mentioning.
The one I personally did was the Grave Digger. You walk up to a full-size Grave Digger monster truck, climb in, strap on VR goggles, and you are dropped into a Monster Jam event. It feels like a Mad Max Monster Jam situation. One of only four experiences like it in all of North America. If you have a kid who is into monster trucks, do not skip this.
The second VR experience is the VR Coaster, which is a full roller coaster structure that physically flips upside down during the ride. I heard from others at the preview that this one might actually be more intense than the Grave Digger, precisely because the coaster itself is moving and inverting while the VR is running. I did not get on that one personally, but it is on my list for when the park opens.
Arcade, Laser Tag, and Duckpin Bowling. A 50-game card-based arcade with no tokens and major prizes. An immersive laser tag arena with jungle and Aztec themes. And duckpin bowling, which is one of the few offerings of its kind in metro Atlanta. These three attractions are grouped together and make for a natural cooldown zone after the more physical areas of the park.
Soft Play Jungle Gym. This is a separate area that deserves its own mention. It is a 10,000-square-foot soft play jungle gym that rises 35 feet to the ceiling, and it has that old-school bounce house feel, like the kind of place you used to take young kids on a rainy Saturday. Tunnels of padding, climbing structures, foam obstacles, and slides built into the whole thing. Kids climb up through the structure to reach the slides. It is designed for ages 4 to 10 and is genuinely one of the more thoughtful parts of the park for younger kids. If you do not feel like participating, there is also a parent lounge nearby with Wi-Fi and TVs. You could absolutely get some work done.
Toddler Zone. For kids under 4, there is a dedicated toddler zone separate from the soft play area. It is designed to give the youngest visitors something safe and age-appropriate while the older kids do their thing.
The Wristband System
This is how I understand the wristband system to work, with the caveat that it was not fully operational during our visit since the park had not officially opened yet.
Every guest receives a smart wristband at entry through a partnership with Intelliplay, a guest engagement platform. Think Disney MagicBands for an indoor adventure park. The wristband is supposed to track where you go in the park, show you how much time is left on your visit, and gamify the experience by displaying leaderboards throughout the park showing jump counts, slide runs, and other activity stats. It also lets Thrillz track which attractions are most popular across different age groups.
The wristbands are one of the things about Thrillz that sets it apart from other indoor entertainment venues. When everything is dialed in, the experience of competing with your friends on a leaderboard while you are jumping or sliding is going to add a whole layer to the visit that most places just do not have.
Good to Know Before You Go
Best ages. In my opinion, and from what I saw with our group of kids, the sweet spot is probably 8 to 14. Thrillz is a genuinely high-tech, high-stimulus environment, and those are the ages that can access most of it and appreciate what makes it different. If you brought 4 to 6-year-olds, there would be a limited number of spaces and attractions designed for them, and they would likely spend a lot of time watching from the sidelines. There were a lot of middle school kids running around during the preview, and for that age group in particular, this place is dialed in.
Birthday parties. Most parks in this category only have a few party rooms. Thrillz Atlanta has around a dozen private party rooms included in base party packages. There is also an on-site restaurant. For families in the Dunwoody, Chamblee, Doraville, Norcross, and Peachtree Corners area looking for a summer birthday party destination, this is worth a serious look.
Location and parking. 4280 Northeast Expressway, Atlanta, GA 30340. Parking is on-site and complimentary. From all around the Top End of the Atlanta Perimeter, you are about 10 to 15 minutes away.
Opening date. Thrillz Atlanta opens to the public on June 10, 2026.
Why It's Worth the Trip from Dunwoody
There is nothing like this in Dunwoody or the immediate Perimeter area. Many of you are familiar with Big Play ATL, with their arcade, VR, bowling, and mini golf. That is a great spot. But Thrillz is on a different level. It is more like a carnival, a bounce house, and a Ninja Warrior course all under one roof. There are bounce house places around, and there are trampoline parks up in Alpharetta, but there is nothing quite like this around the top end of the Perimeter.
I have lived in the Dunwoody area since 2010. I cover new openings, development, and things happening around the Top End of the Perimeter because staying on top of it helps me serve my clients better. Thrillz is the kind of place that makes this part of Atlanta more livable and more interesting. If you have kids between 8 and 14, put this on your summer list.
Thinking About Life on the Top End of the Perimeter?
I have been covering this area since 2010. The Dunwoody, Doraville, Chamblee, and Peachtree Corners stretch of the Perimeter has more going on right now than at any point in the 15 years I have been paying attention. Thrillz is one example. There is a lot more.
If you are thinking about buying or selling in this area, I am happy to talk through what the market looks like. No pressure. Just a real conversation.

What age is Thrillz Atlanta best for?
In my opinion, the sweet spot is 8 to 14. There is a toddler zone for under 4 and a soft play jungle gym for ages 4 to 10, but some rides have height requirements. Thrillz shines for middle-school-age kids.
How big is Thrillz Atlanta?
56,000 square feet, 35 to 40-foot ceilings, more than 20 attractions.
Does Thrillz Atlanta have birthday party rooms?
Yes, around a dozen private party rooms included in base packages, plus an on-site restaurant. Most parks in this category only have a few rooms.
What VR experiences does Thrillz Atlanta have?
Two. The Grave Digger puts you inside a full-size monster truck for a Monster Jam VR simulation, one of only four in North America. The VR Coaster is a physical roller coaster that flips upside down while a VR experience runs. I personally did the Grave Digger, but others at the preview said the VR Coaster might be the more intense of the two.
What is the Rush 360 at Thrillz Atlanta?
A pendulum ride that flips completely upside down while spinning. Minimum 50 inches. Most popular carnival ride at the media preview.
What is the Mega Slide Tower?
A 35-foot slide tower with four experiences including a four-lane racing slide. One of only two in North America. Comparable towers exist only in Switzerland and Dubai.
How does the wristband system work?
Every guest gets a smart wristband via Intelliplay that tracks activity and displays leaderboards throughout the park. Think Disney MagicBands for an indoor adventure park. Not yet operational at our preview, but one of the most interesting parts of the Thrillz experience.
