Although the 285 Top End Project is still a minimum of 5 years away, Georgetown Recreation Club in Dunwoody, GA is working on plans should the highway come any closer to their pool. “We refuse to have the highway over us. We were here first, so we have ‘top bunk’ rights”, said one member, “we’ll go over them if we have to”.
When asked what is currently happening with the stretch of 285 next to the pool, a member explained to us they are clear-cutting it for a widened exit ramp and sound wall.
