Dekalb County School District is exploring issuing a property tax increase to address the E-SPLOST (Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) budget. E-SPLOST funds are used to build new facilities, renovate existing structures, improve school bus fleets, upgrade HVAC systems, and pay debt from pervious projects.
DCDS is holding 5 public meetings to allow residents to ask questions and provide feedback. The closest meeting to Dunwoody is tonight, Tuesday, Aug 27th, at 7:00pm at Chamblee High School, so show up if you want more info on E-SPLOST.
Redistricting is not a part of this meeting’s agenda, by the way.
