Ms. Nabers has extensive experience in finance and government, serving most recently in a similar capacity for the City of Brookhaven.
Dunwoody, GA – September 20, 2019 – Linda Haney Nabers has been named the new Finance Director for the City of Dunwoody. Ms. Nabers comes to Dunwoody from the City of Brookhaven, where she has served as the Finance Director for the past two years.
“I’ve always appreciated the hometown feel of Dunwoody,” Ms. Nabers said. “I look forward to making a contribution to this top-notch city.”
While working for Brookhaven, Ms. Nabers directed and managed payroll, financial statements, general ledger, purchasing, accounts payable and business licenses. Prior to that, she worked for three years for the City of Stockbridge, where she successfully turned around operations.
“Linda will bring a wealth of experience to our city,” said Dunwoody City Manager Eric Linton. “We’re excited for her to get started.”
Ms. Nabers’ prior experience also includes work for the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners, Creative Consultants, and Sara Lee Corporation. She earned a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
In her free time, Ms. Nabers enjoys volunteer work, gardening, tennis and spending time with her two teenage sons. She will join Dunwoody on October 7.
