Dunwoody’s annual Apple Cider Days is this weekend, November 9th and 10th. Check out all the great stuff going on. The info below is from the Dunwoody Preservation Trust’s website:

Each fall, DPT brings the community together for Apple Cider Days – a weekend full of events that include a guided twilight cemetery tour, a History Alive trip back in time and an all-day, old-time country celebration of food, arts and crafts and music at the historic Donaldson-Bannister Farm. All events are free unless otherwise noted.  

Saturday, November 9th

9:30am-11:00am – History Alive
Embark on New Life Journeys, Frontier Dunwoody! 
Step back in time with a glimpse into the families that settled the area. Learn about the unexpected challenges and tremendous difficulties our pioneer families faced and how they influenced what we now know as Dunwoody. $3 DPT Members /$5 Non-DPT Members.

11:00am – 4:00pm – Villagefest
Enjoy fall family fun on a farm with a free petting zoo, face painting, children’s pioneer crafts and games along with pioneer outdoor cooking demonstrations and a vintage tool and home goods display, tours of the farm and historic house and more. Listen to local bands and browse artisan booths. Chick-fil-A and Moondog Growlers for purchase.

6:00pm-8:00pm (gates open at 5:00pm) – Sunset Serenade
Bring your own dinner and picnic under the stars with music by moonlight featuring local bands at Dunwoody’s own Chastain Park experience. Reserve a table and (6) chairs for $50 and all proceeds go to assist Dunwoody school music programs. BYOEverything. Prize for best table decor. Reservations only to: appleciderdays@dunwoodypt.org.

Sunday, November 10

4:00pm-5:00pm – Twilight Tour of the Stephen Martin Cemetery
Visit the final resting place of some of Dunwoody’s earliest settlers at a cemetery established in 1859. Learn who of our founding families are buried here, along with interesting facts from what we know of their life stories.
